Directorship Descriptions

The Director of Internet Services is responsible for updating and maintaining all related websites, email services, and bulletin boards on the internet belonging to the Corporation.
The Director of Social Events is responsible for coordinating all activities related to Bi-Annual National Caucus. Director of Social Events will serve as a coordinator of all National events.
The parliamentarian shall ensure that all meetings of the members are in accordance with the parliamentary procedure as stated in The New Robert’s Rules of Order by Mary A. DeVries. The parliamentarian shall bring copies of the articles of the incorporation and the bylaws to all general meeting of the members and the National Advisory Board meetings. The parliamentarian shall perform all duties as assigned by the National Director or the National Advisory Board. The parliamentarian shall perform all duties incident to the office of parliamentarian.

The sergeant-at-arms shall ensure meetings of the members are conducted orderly and shall move all disorderly members as directed by the National Director or the 1st National Vice Director.

The Director of Undergraduate Affairs is to oversee the activities of each undergraduate chapter, ensuring they meet National standards and remain in good standing as outlined in Article 5.05 of the National Bylaws of Epsilon Gamma Iota, Inc. These activities include social events, fundraising efforts, and community service projects. Each chapter must abide by the rules and decisions outlined in the National constitution and their respective chapter constitution as well as the Bylaws for National Requirements. Each chapter must also maintain good standing on its perspective campus by being registered and following the guidelines for on-campus organizations. Candidate must be classified as a Graduate member for no less than one (1) year with Corporation. Undergraduate members and Transitional members are not eligible for this position.
The Director of New Membership is to oversee the MIP activities of the undergraduate chapter, ensuring they meet National standards and remain in good standing as outlined in Article 5.08 of the National Bylaws of Epsilon Gamma Iota, Inc. Each chapter must abide by the rules and decisions outlined in the National Membership Intake Handbook This candidate must be a good standing (financial) member of the Corporation. Candidate must be classified as a Graduate member for no less than one (1) year with Corporation.
The Director of Academics is responsible for conducting educational programs to improve academic betterment for all undergraduate chapters. Candidate must be classified as a Graduate member for no less than one (1) year with Corporation.
The Director of Scholarship is responsible for administering and finding funding for any internal scholarship programs. This position is also responsible for finding external scholarship programs and presenting those to the member.

Director of Expansion is responsible for the growth of the Corporation on a National level at colleges/universities and cities across the United States of America. The Director of Expansion is to oversee that New Chapters meet the minimum requirements stated in Article 5.04 of the National Bylaws to establish charter. Candidate must be classified as a Graduate member for no less than one (1) year with Corporation.
The historian shall keep accurate and complete books and records of the history of the Corporation. The historian shall also maintain a portfolio containing information concerning awards, honors, achievements and other accomplishments, which mark the Corporation’s outstanding status. When requested, the historian shall present the history of the Corporation. The historian shall perform other duties as assigned by the National Director or the National Advisory Board. The historian shall perform all duties incident to the office of historian.
The Chaplin leads the membership in the invocation and the benediction portions of each meeting of the membership. The chaplain is also responsible for providing spiritual counseling for the membership of the Corporation
2.01 The Executive Director of Operations is governed by the National Constitution and the National Director and shall:

a.) Helps create a working relationship between the National organization and other businesses and organizations. I.e. (NSBE, SBA, SMBA, ASME, IEEE, ChME…etc.).
b.) Assist in defining necessary positions, roles, and responsibilities within the national organization.
c.) Responsible for the daily operations of the national office. i.e. .(Any formal documentation that may require review from the Federal, State or National Government. Including all legal matters that may pertain to the national organization.)
d.) Coordinate the necessary bills pertaining to Federal or State documentation with the financial officer.
e.) Coordinate with the Director of New Membership and Treasurer about issues dealing with membership and new membership status.

f.) Coordinate with Treasure and Financial Reporter manages and refines the budget of the Corporation.
g.) Continue to promote the national constitution.
h.) Continue to develop and build upon the goals of the national organization and its business plan.
i.) Responsible for fundraising money for the National Treasury of the Corporation..
j.) Responsible for creating his/her own board/task force to assist in all operations of the Corporation.

This is a higher and fire position approved by the National Advisory board with a five (5) year contract. Salary would be based on an annual 15% of all new moneys the Executive Director of Operations brought into the Corporation through his/her efforts. This candidate must be a good standing (financial) member of the Corporation. Candidate must be classified as a Graduate member for no less than two (2) year with Corporation. Undergraduate members and Transitional members are not eligible for this position.
